Prince Edward Island, Canada

In the older part of Charlettown (capital city of the Province of Prince Edward Island) these are some of the colourful old homes.

Those planks of wood on the outside of the houses. At least I thought that was what they were called. Actually I just googled and it should be clapboard.

yes clapboard, long planks of wood, rarely used these days. The eastern provinces like the lovely colour. I always wondered if when they spent too much time in the pub after being out fishing, they painted thier homes colours so they could figure out which one they lived in :)
