London Trip with Kate and Geoffl

We were in a shopping arcade this lovely elephant was just outside, who could resist those beautiful colours, Kate spied the little girl sitting underneath, I got her in the shot just by pure luck !!! 500 of these elephants were situated all around London, painted by artists famous and not so famous, for charity - they were all sooo different, I really wished I had photographed more of them. They were sold off, Leigh desperately wanted to buy one (imagine shipping it back to NZ). At this time Leigh and Geoff were inside the arcade photographing something much more mechanical. Will see if I can post a photo of that. Sorry I am not more organized.
Kate the serious photographer on Tower Bridge - I must look amongst Leigh's photos to see if I can find one of Kate and I together, it was so funny we had not met before but we were dressed almost identically - jeans, very similar shirts, etc.

This was taken just a little way from where we had a beautiful lunch with Kate and Geoff, The heavens had opened and we had torrential rain. In the distance you can see the "Gerkin" building - I think in one of my posts on BP to Kate I mistakenly called it the "Cucumber" Well its not really so very different.

Kate 's face is intense concentration.... Tower Bridge... great shot, hate the cucumber in the background. Modern vs old, I guess... how log are the Kiwi's in town for?

Val that was way back in August I think. And if I remember correctly Barbara and Leigh were in London for a week or two and then went on to Paris and Barcelona.

Yes we spent a week in London - too short so much to see and do. One of the highlights was meeting Kate and Geoff, you never know Mary and Val the world is becoming smaller one day it would be wonderful to all meet up. (That is not the red wine talking) A thought to keep in mind and a dream to look forward to.

It would be wonderful, kiwi, to come to where YOU are, too, because I've heard how lovely it is there.
