LLOYDS BUILDING, SCULPTURE AND REFLECTION

This is the rear exit of the Lloyds Building. Most shots of the Lloyds building are from the more impressive and way out side. We were all impressed with this sculpture and couldn't resist going out to steal shots of it even in the rain.

I was quite excited when I saw this one on the computer. My immediate thought was "Private Dancer" and that is what I have called it on BP. I cropped out a distracting horizontal line at the top and cloned in the left hand side of the foreground as the supposed stage lighting was running out of the picture. I really like this and have done a print of it. Will be interesting to see what the judges have to say about it. Trouble is you can only give a title and not explain what it is. Of course it is my reflection in the sculpture.

WOW! That it a really interesting sculpture.

I wonder if I cam still getting notices of posts! I keep missing things! NOT intentionally.

I love the bottom reflection and colors--it's like an abstract painting!!!

When Charlotte saw this she thought my reflection looked like a monster so I hasve since cloned it around the head hoping it looks better as I am going to enter it in camera club comp. But will wait for the second comp as I am pretty sure the judge is more likely to appreciate than the first comp judge.

I think this is great Kate - has the comp been yet - if so how did you go ?

I am saving this one for a particular judge. Although it turned out that the last print judge probably would have been OK but I had no idea what he was like beforehand. I have cloned bits of the head to make it look less like a Monster and on the advice of my brother in law (a priest) I am going to call it Ethereal Dancer. The next print comp will be on 30th November.
