C2C Patterdale to Shap

A beautiful walk to start with. Quite a climb out of Patterdale. It didn't help that I left my glasses several hundreds of metres on a rock when I stopped to take a shot. Couldn't manage without them so Geoff rested while I went back to retrieve them. A walker had told me he'd seen them. I don't suppose it would have made any difference. I am sure I would still have felt just as knackered by the end of the day. I don't know how I managed to put one foot in front of the other by the time we met the cows. There was no time to stop and take any more pics. In fact most days I would have to stop taking pics due to lack of time to reach our destination.

WOW! The scenery is gorgeous! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. WOW! So sorry you got so tired.

I walked, in my 40s, 120 miles through the Adirondack mountains--this would be much better. There was very little to see there, just the same green tunnel. Trail in the woods.
