A most miserable day for Geoff with his blisters but a fantastic place to stay in Keld. Must return! We took the van next morning to Reeth.

I'm going to have to go through and enlarge each one again and really study it. I love that last one.
Really enjoying seeing your holiday pics Kate, my sympathies are with Geoff, hmmm I suffer from blisters generally after a days walk, so anything where I have to walk each day, I have to really pace myself, it's such a pain LOL
Strange to see the modern day wind thingy along side the beautiful old stone buildings, a sign of the times I suppose and some would say progress.
The guy had a lot of trouble getting planning permission for the windmill. But there was no power to the building when he renovated it. It would have meant power cables coming up or down the valley. Well this little windmill is so much less obtrusive and cannot even be seen from the road. The guy was great and had worked real hard to make the place environmentally friendly. We would love to go back some time.
Maybe you need to change your walking boots Barbara and try to find something that suits. Trouble is they don't take them back do they for blisters and it is a lot of money to pay out if you don't know they will suit you. Especially with all the fantastic walks around you everywhere.
