I guess the legs do not look so bad from here but they were annoying me on the day. I wanted to try and make out the white of the lighthouse went right to the ground. At least they are different. I guess as it is so high up there anyway the actual lighthouse did not have to be very tall.

This is the lighthouse on St Mary's. This was where I had my ISO permanently on 1600 for 3 days after having taken sunsets one night and forgotten to put it back. So Val I had an excuse to do a few effects to hide the grain although it really wasn't too bad so long as it wasn't dark.

This is from the Bryher Boat Firethorn leaving St Mary's the main island and this was how we got about the islands. The Boat posted notices around Bryher saying where they were going the next day and so that was where we went. They then told you when they would pick you up.

I have also gone to a higher ISO and forgotten and then caught myself later on... but it turned out well, too bad the top of the lighthouse isn't a little to the left a bit. Now where did you stay? A B&B? and always on Bryher? how long were you there?
Re the lighthouse I think I took it from where I did to hide the iron legs it was on that went to the ground. I didn't like them. I will post a pic which shows what I mean since you like lighthouses. Re where we stayed you may have seen further posting on this blog showing our wee cottage which used to be a dive shed and since the guy had to give up diving because of his lungs they converted it to self catering. We stayed on Bryher for a week but were due to come home on my birthday so we stayed an extra night on St Mary's the main island in a hotel.
I am now quite fanatical about checking my ISO - hope I keep it up!
These are all wonderful fun photos.
I am really enjoying seeing them
I hate to say this, but I am constantly changing the ISO and forgetting to change it back, like at Greenfield village, going in and out of the buildings where it is dark inside and light and bright outside. Grr. I think Ia m getting old!
I love lighthouses and that one seems very interesting!
Glad you liked them and that it's not just me that doesn't check my settings!
